Fundamentals Of Design by Daniel Van-Dien

 The words I chose for my work are space, bounce, stacked, isolated, and deleted. For space I thought it would be a good idea to make the a white so it looks like an empty space. For bounce i thought it would be a good idea to make it seem like the o bounced like a ball would and have the other letters fall next to it. For stacked I thought it would be a good idea if I just stacked it by using the vertical type feature on the type tool. For Isolated i thought it would look good if I put the L in the middle away from the other letters to make it fit with the words meaning. For deleted I thought it would be a good idea to make the L and D white to give it the effect that they weren't there as if they were deleted.

                                              Illustrator Thoughts  The most I can remember with Adobe Illustrator was learning each of the tools, what they do, and how to use them. Learning about shapes and how to use them and edit them. The projects were interesting because using the things I learned was fun and enjoyable. I want to learn new skills for type 2 and refresh on the things i learned from type 1. I want to improve on my skills and make sure that i can create high quality work to make me happy. I wish to refresh on my skills from type 1 and improve on them so they can assist me with type 2. I will use my skills to the best of my ability in type 2 and improve on them. I am confident that my skills can improve and be honed to a better degree and I will make sure that they are.

This principle is closure, for this I wanted to make the letters form a square. This principle is continuity, for this I wanted to make the O's make an L shape This principle is figure ground, for this I put an r inside an h This principle is similarity, for this I had two T's since they are the same. This principle is proximity, for this i made a U with a bunch of U's with a close proximity.  

 My method for this assignment was to use any random I could think of and use that for the six letters. I had struggled a little trying to find the proper fonts for this. My experience was pretty lackluster I didn't think much of what I did during this just thought about the words I would use more than the fonts so I ended up confusing myself a few times. The reaction I had was that this would be a little boring and it was a little but it was a good refresher on things like sans-serifs, serifs, and slab serifs. The assignment was a good refresher but it all around just felt boring to me but I did enjoy learning how to use Adobe Illustrator on the web because of its new features that I would really like to try out in the future with any assignments if we get the chance. Digital type design seems fun with thew right ideas and the creativity, so I really look forward to doing more and more digital type designs since its enjoyable to me at least. I want to see how much better I can get...

  I made this because I wanted the letters to say "Wazzup". 

My thought process for this was to create something festive since it was Christmas time and I just happened to also think of the Gingerbread man from Shrek. I feel like out of all of my drawing this one is my favorite and it came out very well because of the fact that they're cute little gingerbread men. I wanted something goofy to draw since I planned to make my drawing all random blobs. I feel like this one came out well because it looks a little close to what it was supposed to look like I thought of clouds and then I also thought that I wanted to stick with making weird shapes and blobs so I ended up drawing these weird looking clouds. I feel this definitely could have been better  because the shape I made the clouds wasn't what I wanted in a way. I thought of flying cacti and to stick with what I planned on drawing I made them round and big. I feel I could have done better but I'm also proud that I was at least able to do this without feeling discouraged.  

Original I think that for creativity my group earned a 4 because we did a little extra compared to what the original image looked like. I think for accuracy to reference my group deserves a 3 because the extra circles made it less accurate then it would be without them. I think that for teamwork my group deserves a 4 because we split the workload between the three of us.
