Social Justice reflection

Image
My social justice topic is anti-homelessness because it is a topic I'm pretty passionate about. I chose this topic since its a common topic of discussion with my brother and we can talk for hours about it. I used this to share about statistics of homeless people and a story on someone experiencing homelessness. I think that this should be talked about more instead of letting it be shoved under the rug.

Call to Action poster

Image
My call to action posters are on poverty to send a message about how there are people who struggle to find anything while other people can have whatever they please. I want to push people to advocate for those who don't have as much as we do. Bringing attention to this cause can help bring to awareness how big a gap there is between classes.

how posters work

Image
This poster overwhelms the eye because of how it's shaped. The words are squished together and it looks like a wave. It's a little hard to read.  This poster creates a central image with the glass being enlarged to be the main focus. The title and background make the glass seem more important. The poster makes eye contact with the woman winking towards the viewer. It can attract the viewers attention too because they made eye contact. This poster manipulates scale because King Kong is huge compared to the text above him. The text seems to be less important as well with a much bigger emphasis on King Kong's size. This poster overlaps the text over the face. The text goes over the eyes and covers them.
